From the sand courts of Wagga Wagga to the world stage — this is Matt’s moment.
Matt Lloyd, our Senior Supervisor at Kurrajong Recycling, was born with less than 25% hearing in both ears. From day one, life presented challenges — but Matt’s determination was louder than any obstacle.
For decades, he’s poured his heart into beach volleyball, training through heat, cold, and countless setbacks. At 39 years old, after proudly representing NSW at the Australian Deaf Games and National Deaf Beach Volleyball tournaments, his lifelong dream has become reality:
Matt has been selected to represent Australia at the 2025 Deaflympics in Tokyo this November. ✨
This is more than a competition — it’s the culmination of years of resilience, discipline, and belief.
Why Matt Needs Your Help
Competing internationally comes with big costs, and until now, Matt has funded every tournament and training trip himself.
Your donation will help cover:
✈️ Flights
Accommodation
Tournament Fees
Uniforms
Every Dollar Makes a Difference
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings Matt closer to stepping onto the court in Tokyo wearing green and gold — knowing his hometown and supporters across Australia are behind him.
If you can’t donate, you can still help by sharing this page with friends, family, and your community.
Let’s rally around Matt and send him to Tokyo to make Wagga Wagga, Kurrajong, and Australia proud.
Donate today and be part of the journey!
