Hi, we’re the Miller family from Ferguson, Missouri, and we’re inviting you to be part of something truly special.

Our 11-year-old son, Christopher Lee Miller Jr., or CJ, is walking into a destiny bigger than we ever imagined, literally.

CJ was born a toe walker, which made everyday movement harder than most people know. He’s spent years working to strengthen muscles that didn’t develop fully, struggling with balance and coordination. That all began to change when we discovered race walking, a sport that not only improved his form but transformed his confidence.

Last year, in his first season ever, CJ cried before nearly every race. He was the smallest one out there, nervous but determined. And even through the tears, he kept showing up.

His coaches say he has the biggest heart on the team, and it showed. He went from crying at the start line to crying joyful tears at the finish, after qualifying for Districts, then Regionals, and finally the Junior Olympics, where he finished 11th in the nation.

He set a personal record at every level.

Now in his second season, there are no more tears, only fire. CJ is stronger, focused, and pushing himself every day to make it back and place Top 5 in the nation.

This summer, he’s earned the chance to return to the Junior Olympics, and this time, his race will be streamed live on YouTube and aired on national TV. That means you can be part of this story in real time, cheering him on as he competes with the best in the country.

We’re doing everything we can to support his dream. But as small business owners—his dad a mobile mechanic and his mom running a cleaning company—business has slowed down this season. That’s why we’re reaching out to our village.

We’re raising $2,000 to help cover:

Transportation to Houston, TX (gas, travel, tolls)

Hotel stay and meals during the competition

CJ’s race gear, shoes, and registration

‍♂️ Support for his final weeks of training to make sure he’s mentally and physically ready

This isn’t just about the money. It’s about believing in CJ, a kid who turned a challenge into a gift, who shows up with heart, and who’s representing more than just himself.

He’s representing every kid who ever felt different.
