Hello, my name is Heather Borovay and I am the mother of Dymond Franklin. I’m starting this GoFundMe in hopes of getting help with Dymond’s cheer fees for her final season cheering.
Dymond has been cheering for the past 5 years, and as a single mother it has not always been easy to afford. Over the years I’ve taken on extra hours to make sure she could continue doing what she loves because cheer has truly changed her life.
Since elementary school, Dymond has experienced bullying, but cheer gave her the confidence, strength, and support system to overcome so much. This year she was given an amazing opportunity to cheer competitively with Rare All Star Cheer after being selected at tryouts this past Saturday morning.
Our first payment of $500 is due by June 1st, and while it’s hard for me to ask for help, it would hurt even more to see her lose this opportunity because of finances. Due to her age, this will be her only year eligible to cheer for Rare.
Although she also participated in high school cheer, it negatively affected her confidence because of constant focus on weight. Competitive cheer has reignited her passion and confidence, and since starting cheer her dream has always been to cheer in college. Being part of Rare will help her work toward that goal.
I will also be posting the full breakdown of costs and fees so everyone can see exactly what donations are helping cover.
Anything helps, and every donation brings Dymond one step closer to achieving her dream. Thank you so much for supporting her journey and believing in her.
