Children in Haiti need our help! For two weeks in February, 2016 a team of 20 employees from Checkers Industrial Safety Products will be traveling to Haiti. Checkers is covering all travel expenses for the team, but we need your help in raising money for equipment and supplies. This means every dollar that is raised goes directly to the children, the school, and the surrounding communities in Haiti!! Our goal is to raise at least $20,000 ($10,000 per team) before our trip!
Checkers Industrial Safety Products, a global leading industrial safety products manufacturer headquartered in Broomfield, CO is partnering with the non-profit, Coalition of Children in Need Association (COCINA) to help a make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children. The 20-person Checkers team will travel to Ouanaminthe, Haiti during the dates of February 12-27, 2016 on 2 separate mission trips to support and work with Institution Univers, a K-13 school with 2,300 students. We have picked this cause in particular because two of Checkers’ core values are People (kids) and Learning (K-13 school) and a good education can be such a huge advantage in less developed countries like Haiti. In addition, we get to support COCINA, the organization that helped found the school in 1994.
We are looking for donations to help fund this project as it is essential to the well-being of these students that we succeed. We hope that you will consider making this success possible with a generous and much appreciated donation and we want to thank you for your faithful support. Your compassion enriches their lives in more ways than you’ll ever know.
