Fetal Abnormality: We found out our warrior had "something" wrong with his heart early on in my pregnancy during an ultrasound in 2018. Hearing our baby had literally a broken a heart was the most gut wrenching awful feeling ever. We are supposed to protect, heal, fix and keep our children safe but when you cant, when the power is not in your hands - it's a dark, dark scary place to mentally and emotionally be. It has and forever changed our entire lives as individuals and as a family. How we live, function, the career we have sacrificed so I could be a stay at home mom to care for him, be ALL the mom I can be before it's too late.. this is not living, this is not fair. I have questioned my faith, science, medicine and now doctors. His life expectancy has gone from 40 years old to about 18-21 years old with his internal organs failing in his preteen years.. three heart surgeries in and he's not even 2 years old yet. 2018 - abnormal ultrasounds, spent 3rd trimester meeting our babies cardiology team, discussing plans for surgery and pacemaker insertion upon birth. 2019 - 1 week after birth first heart surgery. Spent an entire month in the hospital before every going home to only go back twice a couple months apart for a school cold siblings contracted. 2020 - Glen Shunt in september, October 12th back in er with his left lung collapsed, now in picu with questionable amounts of chylothoratic fluid in his left lung. Feeding tube method did not work, now tpn iv for 1 week in hopes Bobby with not need a ligation or something worse... Asking for your help with commute back and forth to hospital in a borrowed car, help with expenses for our other two children who are house hopping, help with utilities and bills so dad can take time off work to be at hospital. Help to take family trips and make memories with Bobby and his two young siblings sooner than later.
