Hi friends, families and folks who don't know us yet.

We're deeply sadenned to say that the tumor that was benign in 2023 has come back and morphed into a high grade glioma in his cerebellum. After another lengthy surgery on May 19th, we finally got the biopsy results back in the beginning of April.

Chay has a mutation in his genes that has caused the tumor to become aggressive and we need to fight this cancer aggressively. He'll be having 6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation first. Because he has a genetic component that the doctors can target with another round of chemotherapy, things could get better and they're hopeful that they can give him more than the 1-2 years of life that this kind of tumor would afford someone without the mutation.

Needless to say, we're absolutely devastated.. I've cut back drastically on how much I'm working, as it's my main priority to take care of my wonderful boy. Nathan is also taking a big cut in hours so we can get through this as a family, and have as much time with Chay as possible. Rainee is continuing with his studies at Gloucester high school, but its so heavy to have such a worry on him and the rest of our small family.
