Chaundra’s Celebration of Life

Donation protected
Dear family, friends, and loved ones,

I am writing you today to let you know of the passing of Chaundra Bene’ Bradby, also affectionately known as Chaunie. Our beloved Chaundra recently passed on June 18th, 2024. Chaun was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter and friend who touched the lives of those around her. Although she faced struggles with MS, she was still so full of life and loved to laugh. She is pre-deceased by her father Real and leaves behind her beloved son Joshua, her sister Valerie (Clark), brothers Eric and Rob, mother Elaine, and a multitude of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Chaundra was strong willed and loved to laugh. People constantly talked about how happy she was as she kept people rolling in laughter because she could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances despite the pain from MS. Her recent hobbies included joking with her nurses and buying random stuff from late-night Amazon scrolling. We also discovered she was subscribed to EVERY movie/TV subscription and refused to unsubscribe because she watched something different on each one; needless to say she was put on subscription service time-out. She also loved to give people crazy nicknames like Polka-dot, Moonchild, and Vehhh, etc.

Before she passed, she was able to watch her son Joshua walk across the stage and graduate High School, as well as enlist in the United States Navy. She constantly expressed how proud of him she was and paraded around the halls of the nursing home telling every one of his accomplishments.

Her passing was so unexpected but we find joy in knowing that every one of us holds a special memory of her closely. We are all devastated by Chaun’s passing and were not prepared for the costs of cremation and services. We want to give Chaundra the celebration of life she deserves, to honor her memory and trade laughs, love and light.

We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Chaun’s cremation and celebration of life services. We need to raise $5000 by Tuesday, June 25th. Any donations that have not been used for the services, or over the asked amount, will be donated directly to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Chaundra’s name.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any and all donations, prayers and well wishes. We ask that you continue to keep Joshua in your thoughts and prayers as he continues his journey into the United States Navy, carrying his mother’s love wherever he goes.

“There are no goodbyes for us, what we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose.”
