Chatsworth Grove Charity Walk
Hello my name is Jeremy and I have MS, Multiple Sclerosis. I volunteer with the Harrogate and District Group of the MS Society. We provide support, friendship to people and families living with the diagnosis of MS.
You may or could have seen me, in my shorts and with a walking stick, walking down Chatsworth Grove to Coppice Primary School and back up again. I began this challenge to keep myself fit whilst we were in the Covid 19 Government Lockdown and as we moved towards the present eased lockdown, I hope to continue this challenge. Covid 19 has proved to be a frustrating time for us all; however, this new normal has been a necessary form of protection against the virus. I do hope you and your wider family are all healthy, well and Staying safe.
I am sure you will have seen in the news that Charities are presently having difficulties raising much needed funds for there working needs. I am writing to ask if you would support and sponsor me for the local Charity I volunteer with, whilst I walk from top to bottom of Chatsworth Grove? I cannot put an exact distance on the walk I will do, once or twice a day; this depends on my health and the weather as am sure you will appreciate. Despite this, I will do my very best to carry on until the end of June. I am specifically raising funds for the local MS Group, so we can continue to provide the therapy services, Reflexology and Physiotherapy to name a few. These therapies support people with restrictive movement, easing pain and helping with confidence. For a long period time, we have been able to provide these treatments in the Group, but costs are rising; therefore, we need help meeting the growing number of people wanting the services we provide. Consequently, would you consider sponsoring me for the Harrogate and District Group of the MS Society.
