Chat Bess' Multiple Myeloma Expenses
Donation protected
Hello my name is Anita; I wanted to take a moment to shed some light on the battle my Dad, Charleston "Chat" Bess, is fighting. He has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and started treatment in February. Though the therapy has been successfully decreasing his Myeloma count, it has not been without side effects; primarily pain and neuropathy.
Unfortunately there is currently not a cure for Multiple Myeloma but a bone marrow transplant can put him in remission with the help of maintenance medication. Thankfully we have received word, from MD Anderson, that his transplant will take place in a few weeks on 5/12/23!
With that being said several people have asked how they can help my Dad along his journey. So I have setup this page to allow those who want and are able to donate the ability to do so. The donations will be used to offset Dad's incurred medical bills, expenses for treatment, travel, and, lodging because he will need to stay in Houston for 6-8weeks to be under constant supervision by his doctors.
Anyone who knows my Dad knows he's a friend to all, will help anyone in need, and literally give you the shirt off his back. This time he is the one in need of assistance. My family and I appreciate the care and love that has been expressed toward our Dad. We ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he undergoes treatment. Thanks to all in advance for helping my Dad so he can just focus on staying strong and healing.
