Chasity Sky Massey Kidney Failure
Donation protected
17 year old Chattooga High School student in Summerville Georiga, Chasity Sky Massey has been diagnosed with complete kidney failure and is in need of a kidney transplant. All donations to help this family are greatly appreciated. Please continue to pray for this family.
Chasity was born with kidneys that did not grow as they should have as she got older. She is a 17 yr old Junior at Chattooga High School. There was no way to know she had this problem until her kidneys had failed as she aged but her kidneys did not grow with her. An urgent care visit for a headache and high blood pressure turned into this nightmare of being flown to Egleston and finding out she was in kidney failure.
Many family members and friends are waiting to be tested to see if they are a match for Chasity but the doctors say this is a long process so she will be on dialysis for a while. Hopefully a kidney will be found soon and this child can get back to her new normal life. She is in complete failure so a kidney is needed soon if anyone would like to be tested.
Any donations big or small will be greatly appreciated to help this family. They are going to be traveling several times a month for her to see the doctors at Egleston Childrens Hospital in Atlanta since she is considered a child and has to have pediatric care. The doctor's did find a dialysis clinic to take her in Calhoun which is cutting down on the travel time to the one they thought they would have to use in Tucker Ga. At this time she is having dialysis 3 times a week.
This family needs so many things for Chasity's special diet, gas, food for the all day trips and other special equipment to accomodate her. Her mom is disabled from having childhood cancer so this family can really use all the help they can get. The step father lost his job he just recently started to stay home and care for Chasity's brother Collin so he could attend school and have the most normal home life possible while his mother and sister are away from home at the hospital. Chasity's mother and grandmother have spent many nights in the hospital room with her while she is having test done and to get her blood pressure under control. As we all know it's hard to get rest in a hospital room and her mom Katie is not in the best of health. This is going to be a long process and require many stays in the hospital. The family is very concerned about Chasity along with her moms health deteriorating from the exhaustion of so many nights of hospital stays. With money raised here her mother will be able to be with her daughter but maybe occasionally get a room so she can rest. No a mother will not leave her child and go home or stay away long but just a place to lay your head for a moment would be great. If you can find it in your heart to donate , share this page or say a prayer it is greatly appreciated. Thanks and love to all.
This is my step granddaughter, my sons step daughter. Please keep them in your prayers. God bless each and every one of you.
