This Is My Journey

When I was 19, I was diagnosed with FSHD muscular dystrophy, a progressive condition that weakens muscles over time. When I first heard the diagnosis, I had no idea what it would mean for my future. Would I still be able to chase my dreams? Would I still be able to push my body to its limits?

Instead of letting my diagnosis define me, I made a choice, I would fight. I would push myself harder than ever and prove that limitations are meant to be broken.

I’ve found my greatest passion in Sport Climbing, a sport that has redefined my limits and given me a new dream: competing at the 2028 Paralympics.

Climbing has been more than just a sport for me, it’s a testament to resilience, adaptability, and personal excellence. From my first competition (where I took first place!) to representing Team USA, my journey has been one of dedication and growth. Now, I have the opportunity to compete on the IFSC World Cup Circuit, bringing me one step closer to my ultimate goal: qualifying for the 2028 Paralympics.

This isn’t just about medals. It’s about proving what’s possible. It’s about showing that a diagnosis doesn’t define your potential. It’s about standing on that podium not just for myself, but for every athlete who has been told they can’t.
