My name is Renn, and I’m 20 years old, my boyfriend here is called Caspian, we aren’t normally the people to ask for help but we are trying to make our dreams a reality and haven’t really had the support we have needed, so are giving this a shot!

Here’s our story..❤️

We have both spent years homeless ( we prefer to call it living in the wild✌️). At first I was sleeping on benches and he was sleeping in a car park, trying to get by where we can, trying to work anywhere we can just to make ends meet.

We both ended up in a small town called Macclesfield, where I was sofa surfing, which is the town I ended up first meeting Caspian at the bar he was working at, (it was the 14th of November 2023 as he somehow remembers☺️) there we started our friendship and realised how similar our lives have been and how we were in the same situation. I have been on the homeless waiting list for 3 years, he has been on it for 1 year.

We became best friends for nearly two years. Caspian ended up going travelling to work festival season whilst I started working at the bar we met at, thinking that he wouldn’t be coming back I was upset that I’d never see him again, surprisingly he came back 6 months later!❤️ We hadn’t spoken for a few months and I had thought the friendship wouldn’t be the same, after a few months we started to hang out more again, and things were just like old times, after I had gone through a break up he was there to make sure I was okay.

A few weeks later I had realised that everything I had been looking for was right in front of me the whole two years and we began to create a relationship together, although it was difficult to pick up each others broken pieces we kept powering through, now we’re finally on the path to making our shared dream come true

The reason we are trying to get this money together is that we’ve been living in the Mini Cooper, which has a lot of problems. We have spent over £400 trying to fix the mini and new problems continue to pop up over and over to the point that it has now been deemed unfixable due to the severity of the rust.

So we are now needing to buy something new, we are needing to buy a little camper van for travel due to the amount of cargo, as well as the fact we will be living in it, we have found a Fiat Dobló in the scrap yard (hoping it will run alright), and are hoping to afford it as soon as possible, as we are worried about staying in the mini.

We have put all our £200 into the deposit for the van and are left with £15 for food and petrol. We are meant to be travelling to an island (still hoping to) and be working there by the end of the month so the work we have at the moment isn’t enough hours to support us (roughly 16 hours).

We have also applied to every single job on indeed in the area, we have also walked in to places in the surrounding area asking places in person. Nothing seems to be coming of it or helping with our situation right now. We have been struggling for many years so being able to finally live out our dream is our only want in this life and we have finally for the first time in our lives decided we want to actually ask the world for help.

If anyone can help us, even if it’s just £2 we would be very grateful, and will try and give that energy back with love, and will carry your kindness throughout our lives ✌️

The funds will be used to pay the full amount for the camper van and anything left over will be to put towards the insurance as the insurance will cost between 1,500-2,000 and hopefully no more than that :0!
