I have been in the sport a long time representing our country at 3 World Championships and also captained the 2014 Commonwealth Games team. In 2016, I was successful on the world stage winning a silver medal at the Women’s World Championships (the first male or female boxer to ever do so). Since that time I have dropped 2 weight divisions. I believe that I can show the world that Australia has some of the best boxing talent in the world. I have no doubt that I can be up on the podium at the end of The Commonwealth Games.
The preparation required to achieve this goal allows little time for work. The Australian team has started a 12 week preparation camp which consists of 3 sessions a day, training 6 days per week. 80% of the camp preparations are done away from our home training (Canberra, The Philippines and USA). Unfortunately bills back at home don’t cease: rent, car repayments, mobile, health insurance etc. I want to keep my headspace 100% focused on the task ahead without the worry and anxiousness of financial strain.
Many people have suggested that I start up a page like this so they can contribute a donation to help out with my journey. I’ve been blessed with the support of my amazing family, friends and fans during my boxing career. I’m honestly so overwhelmed and humbled by the encouragement, positivity and financial help I’ve recieved in the past. I promise to give 100% in my preparations and to represent our country proudly wearing the green and gold. I’m chasing that GOLD medal with every fibre in my body....lets get it done!!
