Chases shave it off!

Steve, Am, Harry, Fergus, Toby and Paddy are gunno go bald!

We decided as a family to cut off all our hair as a tribute to friends lost and those currently bravely battling cancer. We chose the WESTERN CANCER CENTRE FOUNDATION LIMITED as the charity we wanted to support.

The Western Cancer Centre was opened in Dubbo in March 2022, and allows patients to see doctors locally, and have their investigations and treatments closer to home and their loved ones.

The mission of the Western Cancer Centre Foundation (WCCF) is to improve cancer care and quality of life of people living with cancer and their families throughout Western NSW.

They help in three main ways:

- By providing education to patients and their families

- By providing support to patients and their families

- By providing funding of the Wellness Centre that is attached to the Western Cancer Centre based in Dubbo, NSW

WCCF's most recent achievement was the purchase of a scalp cooling machine for the Western Cancer Centre. This innovative machine can help prevent or reduce the hair loss experienced by many patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Our big shave will be done on Saturday 10th June at the CWWHA Team Penning event at Geurie. So we don't have much time!
