Hi, my name is Travis and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my son Chase.

Chase and two of his friends were involved in a life changing accident on the 3rd of May when they came in contact with overhead power lines suffering electrical burns.

The last month in hospital has been an absolute roller coaster ride of emotions with dozens of surgeries and a constantly changing picture, the first two nights were the worst as they were worried he wouldn’t make it through the night. We are hugely grateful to the NHS team in Bristol for all their amazing work, care and support.

We now have some stability and an understanding of what life might look like as we learn to navigate the world in a new way. Chase’s courage, strength, resilience and sense of humour have been an inspiration to us and those around him throughout. Of course he has his moments and what teenage boy wouldn’t given the circumstances, but we help him through those lows and remain positive in our outlook and the way forward.

Chase has now been relocated to a hospital in London and closer to home as we continue the rehab process in preparation for prosthetics. A visit from his nana and partner from New Zealand has helped lift his spirits and has given myself and Chase’s mum the opportunity to take a breath and try and get back to returning partially to work where possible. Lastly I would like to thank each and every person that has reached out in support of Chase.

Your love, prayers, kind words and generosity have been felt by us all and have definitely helped us in our darkest moments. It is a huge comfort to know we have your support and love. I believe that Chase will continue to get better each day and will make his story into something truly special and inspiring.
