Chase walks 100 miles in May
Donation protected
hi my name is Chase and im nearly 9 yrs old and i was born with a Horseshoe kidney! Not alot of people know what this is when i tell them and i use to suffer with the symptoms of it when i was younger but as i get older and im more active its better for me so i want to walk 100 miles in may for the charity Kidney Research UK.
Horseshoe kidney affects about 1 in 500 people. Males are more likely to have a horseshoe kidney than females.
For most people, a horseshoe kidney won’t affect life expectancy. But you may be at a higher risk of developing kidney (renal) cancer.
Most people have no symptoms of a horseshoe kidney. If you do, they may include:
Nausea and vomiting.
Frequent urinary tract infections (UTIs), which may also cause pain when you pee (dysuria) along with a fever.
Kidney stones, which may cause abdominal (belly) pain, blood in your pee (hematuria) and pain when you pee.
i want to help people who have kidney diseases and any thing i raise will be most greatful.
my mum and my dog Angel will be walking the 100 miles with me.
thank you for reading my story.
from Chase
