What we thought was a simple belly or back ache turned into our worst fear. The high probability of having to say goodbye to our beloved Chase way too soon! His blood work has shown us that his kidneys are 75% shut down. We are trying to do everything we can to hold onto him as long as we can and keep him from suffering. We have started him on dialysis, which has brought his spunk back in little glimpses, and next, we hope to take him to an emergency specialist in Portland. This Portland vet is going to cost us into the thousands—our home savings. But we would give up anything and everything just to make our Chasey-Boo better again.

This diagnosis completely blindsided us. Chase just turned 6 last week and has always been a happy, healthy dog. We hope to have him around for at least another 6 years, and we will not give up hope.

As mentioned before, we are now using what was our home down payment savings for vet care expenses and willing to do anything to keep our buddy alive as long as possible. We understand times are tough for all, but if you are able to donate to Chase, our family truly appreciates every little bit. I know our other fur babies want to help Chase just as much as we do.
