Chase’s Fight For Cancer

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Haley and I’m making this for my partner Chase who’s been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Almost two months ago, Chase went to the E.R. for flu-like symptoms after work to maybe get some last minute medicine. One of the doctors in the E.R. decided to do an X-Ray and found a little bit of fluid in his lungs (thinking pneumonia) and wanted to get a better look so they suggested to do a CT. After four hours of waiting and bloodwork the CT came back. A 9.2 cm mass was found in the middle of his chest followed by two smaller masses and other abnormal findings. We were both in shock that a small flu-like symptom visit turned into scary news. The next month we spent going to doctors, doing blood work, being referred to 3 different specialist, and being worried sick. On Tuesday his oncologist suggested we go to UF Health to get admitted through the E.R. to try and get a biopsy done. (This was the quickest way to know what these masses are). After 32 hours with a 3 year old and a newborn in the hospital, (if you know us you know we take our babies everywhere cause we’re literally crazy lol. It keeps our minds at ease.) his biopsy was done and we got to finally go home! Today, we got his results and he has Hodgkins Lymphoma. Fortunately this type of cancer is treatable with chemo/radiation and will not require surgery! This definitely is a lot to take in and I’m not sure how our life will look like in the next couple months. I just want to thank both of our families for the continued love, support, and prayers through these last couple months! Please keep Chase in your prayers as this is a lot to go through! It freaking sucks because he’s literally the best dad in the whole entire world and such a good person. It’s not fair but we are looking at the bright side of things! I love you Chase. Unfortunately, medical bills are super expensive especially with a newborn and a 3 year old. Chase’s Medicaid expires on June 30th and he doesn’t start treatment until July. I am currently not working due to being on postpartum leave and we’re not sure how he’s going to react to chemotherapy and how that will affect his work/ability to watch our babies while I return to work. This is our last option to pay for his expenses, gas, and anything else we may need help with along the way and we appreciate every donation. Thank you so much!
