Char's bladder tumor

Donation protected

Back in March, a routine ultrasound of my transplant kidney revealed a mass on the wall of my bladder. This began a series of tests and procedures and anxious waiting periods. Since then, I have had an MRI, CT scan, a whole lot of lab-work, and two biopsies confirming, then removing, then re-examining the site of, a cancerous mass. My diagnosis after 2nd tumor resectioning (biopsy) is T1Hg bladder cancer, which means it is confined to the bladder and has not invaded the muscle-layer around the organ, and it is a high-grade, or agressive, cancer.
I am still in the treatment-planning phase, though it looks like chemo and radiation are off the table for me because of my other existing medical conditions, including my having to take immunosupressants to keep my transplanted pancreas and kidney (2003). I have an appointment with a surgeon at Mayo clinic on Monday after which I should have a clearer picture of my treatment and prognosis.
While I am lucky and very grateful for  the good health insurance I get through my husband's union-job, they pay minimum wage, and I have not been working for several months, and now we are really struggling with living expenses, and we're falling behind fast. I am asking for support to help us through this weird, scary, difficult, but hopefully temporary, time of illness until I get through it and back on track, fit and working again.
I will appreciate every contribution and every share of this campaign from the depths of my heart, which it seems is one of my healthier organs.
Always with love,
Char
