CHARNEY'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Michael “Ron” Ronald Charney and Joan Elizabeth Buchholz (mom and dad) met and married in unique and short courtship. Dad was serving in the US Air Force, and Mom was backpacking across Europe. Just as unique mom and dad have separate anniversaries. As some already know, in Germany you had to marry in the courts and if you chose in the church, hence their anniversaries of July 17th and 27th 1968. Over the years their family has grown to five children; Michael, Lara and Kelly, Josh and Emily, and soon to be five Grandchildren; Michael “Bud”, Elizabeth “Lizzy”, Sawyer “Stink”, Archer “Chunk”, and … to be determined. And multiple “adopted” family too numerous to mention here.




50 Years of Love and a life dedicated to serving the family they created. Mom and dad gave us everything we needed and so much more. They have always been there for us with open arms in our times of need, even when they would have rather pretended we weren't theirs! Mom and Dad are the truest examples of unconditional love there is.




Mom and Dad asked not to have a party. The only thing they wanted was to spend a long weekend at our family camp with the family they created, nurtured, grew and tended to over the years. In appreciation for giving us the world, we would like to send them anywhere in the world they choose.
