Charmaine Leilani Freitas was called home on Wednesday, February 08, 2017 at 04:18am but officially at 05:18 am at Hilo Hospital.
We still have a hard time with her passing so suddenly. We are always reminded that TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED, but it doesn't hit home until it happens. With the help of our Hope DIA-mend Ministries ohana, we have learned many things about our spiritual well-being. One of the most important is that God is LOVE and He loves us all and when He comes calling, we all head home to be with Him. Charmaine is now home with our Lord and we are so happy for her and that she did recieve salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
As surviving family and friends, we all require closure to accept that Charmaine will no longer be with us in the flesh but ALWAYS will be with us in spirit in the form of our memories that we have collected throughout the years. She has touched many lives with her sharing of her love, kindness, generosity, compassionate and giving nature and her "what you see is what you get, no-nonsense" personality. She may have had a gruff exterior but she was just a loving marshmallow inside. She was and we believe still is a "Mama Bear" who protected and continues to protect those she loved and loves with all her heart, soul, mind and body.
Thank you for all your support, kind words, thoughts and prayers for our ohana. At this time, for us to be able to have a Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Charmaine, it will cost us a pretty penny, or many thousands of pennies. Many of you have expressed your willingness to help us and unfortunately, it comes in the form of financial need. We will be unable to obtain funds for another few weeks and we do not wish to prolong the wait for her memorial service. Any help you will be able to provide IS greatly appreciated.
Henri Freitas, mother of Charmaine Leilani Freitas, will be making the arrangements as soon as the funds are recieved and available.
Again, thank you for all your support.
