Get Charlotte to LAMDA
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Charlotte Tilley and I have recently been offered a place on the LAMDA Acting Foundation. I am so so lucky to have the opportunity and it would be a dream come true to train at such a prestigious school. It is literally going to shape my future and give me opportunities that I would never get otherwise!
However, the course comes at a cost of £12,628 and they do not come any government funding like university courses so they must be funded privately before September.
Unfortunately the course is waaay to expensive for me to pay for so I hope to fundraise as much as I can.
I have given so much time up to pursue this goal and worked very hard; I would hate to be stopped by financial concerns.
So if you could donate any spare change at all that would be amazing. I would be hugely grateful for any contribution as every donation will take me one step closer to my lifelong goal of becoming an actor. I will work so hard at Drama School and will make every donation worth it!
I will be be going a range of other things to raise the money too and will be working over summer so fingers crossed we will do it.
Thank you very much.
If you would like to find out more about the cause and LAMDA here is some information about myself and the school:
ABOUT ME:
Like many people applying to Drama School I have been acting for a good proportion of my life and I am still improving and working on things every day. After 5 years at Stagecoach and Upstage, I got a place at Brookdale Youth Theatre which is where I realised that this is what I want to do with my life. At BYT, I met people like me who loved to act and after gaining roles in 'Annie' and 'Grease', I got the lead role in 'Crazy for You' for which I was nominated for the Greater Manchester's Best Young Actress Award. Since this time I was lucky enough to do a six month project at 'The Lowry' where I explored new approaches to acting in a play called 'Zero for the Young Dudes' directed by the fab Joe England. I also did a week long course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I learnt all about Shakespeare with one of the top Acting teachers in the country.
I now attend the 'One Take Wonders' acting class in Manchester, take A level Theatre Studies and have weekly singing lessons so that I can work on my weak areas before I start training in September.
