Charlottesville Tango

With Charlottesville’s historic Glass Building scheduled for renovation, our tango community has been in search of a new home. Luckily, we found one right around the corner! Our new TANGO ON WATER studio will be located at 208 E. Water Street. The space is a standard storefront, and we need $6000 to make it useable for social dance – installing a new floor, kitchenette and lighting; adding window shades; and addressing the sound and ambience. We’re all donating our time and skills to make this happen, and we ask our Argentine tango friends near and far to help us out however you can. Thanks to generous private donations, we’re almost halfway to our goal! 

To anyone who loves tango, or loves those who love it, we hope you can help out. Any amount will get us closer to creating a place where all tangueros can feel at home.
