To family, friends, and to anyone who would love to bless & support a family in need,
this account is being set up to show our love and support to the VanderZicht family. Renee, Brian, Jack, Sydney, Charlotte & Georgia.
On Tuesday, November 17th, 3 year old Charlotte fell and hurt her leg while playing. Naturally, her doctor sent her to UMass in Worcester to get xrays to rule out a fracture or break in her leg. While little Miss Charlotte was playing just like any other little girl who enjoys dance, loves princesses, & has quite the outgoing & sassy personality, her injury unexpectedly brought to light a spot on her bone in her leg.
Unfortunately, they were not able to leave after the xrays, but were addmitted for a huge list of testing, scans & biopsy.
After more testing and 5 days in the hospital, she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
This was so unexpected and all happened so fast.
The news of Charlotte not having a fracture or break in her leg was a relief, until they found the spot.
Renee has been at the hospital with her since Tuesday, November 17th. Brian has been home taking care of their 3 other children and responsibilities at home while going back and forth to the hospital to support Renee & Charlotte and talk to the doctors.
At this time, Renee has transferred Charlottes care to Boston Childrens & Dana Farber Hospital in Boston. Charlotte has been admitted for 1 month to recieve treatments & care.
Renee & Brian are both self employed, and they rely on their work to bring income to their household.
We would like to you all to join us in helping us support this amazing family of 6 and meeting whatever needs they may have. This may include paying bills, groceries for Brian & the kids at home, gas, or babysitters so Brian can go back and forth to the hospital or work. Brians commute to visit them in Boston is over 1 hour away from their home in Uxbridge.
Our goal is to help them pay for any medical bill that they are receiving for this hospital stay & the testing Charlotte has gone through. Living in the hospital, co-pays, bloodwork, MRIs, biopsy, spinal tap & chemo treatments...the list of her procedures & needed treatments goes on. We want this to support them ahead of time so that their loss of income will not cause added stress.
Renee and Brian are both great friends to so many. They are the ones who would do anything for anyone.
Rene is a realtor & Brian runs his own business, Stoneworks Farm, which provides landscaping, masonary & agricultural services.
They are active in their kids lives, their community, and their church. Together we have an opportunity to show love and support in such a critical time, so we invite you to help play a part. Above financial support, we asking for prayer. We believe in the power of prayer and we serve a God who is our healer and our rock.
I will be posting updates as I get them as well as pictures.
Until the family shares the news publicly, we are asking that you please refrain from posting to FaceBook or twitter about this account.
