In February 2024, 10-year-old Charlotte began noticing soreness behind her left knee. At first, it didn’t seem like much — just a bump in the road for a tough, active kid. But by March, the pain had worsened, and she could no longer bend her knee. After a series of appointments, MRIs, and consultations, her family received devastating news: Charlotte was diagnosed on March 22, 2024 with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer.
Charlotte is not just any child. She’s a quiet force — a strong, resilient soul with a brilliant mind and an enormous heart. She is used to playing soccer, field hockey, volleyball, and continues her love of swimming. She’s a natural engineer, an artist, and an avid reader who loses herself in Harry Potter books and dreams up worlds with LEGO and clay. Her creativity and strength have always set her apart — and now, she needs every bit of that strength to face what’s ahead.
Since her diagnosis, Charlotte and her family have been navigating an intense medical journey - a knee replacement surgery and difficult rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. After fighting bravely and ringing the bell earlier this year, she hoped she had beat cancer for good. But on July 5, 2025, a new and terrifying complication emerged. Struggling to breathe, Charlotte was rushed to the ER for a chest CT. Sedated for the scan, doctors discovered her right lung sac was half-filled with fluid. An emergency drain was placed immediately.
Then, on July 15, surgeons made another devastating discovery: an 8cm tumor growing in the pleural lining of her lung. It's cancer — again — though doctors are still working to determine exactly what kind.
Her parents and younger sister, Jourdan, have been by her side every step of the way, juggling the emotional, physical, and financial toll that comes with such a serious illness. Medical bills, transportation, missed work, and the unknowns of what’s to come — it’s overwhelming.
We’re asking for your help to ease some of that burden so that the Evans Family can focus on what matters most: being with her, fighting alongside her, and helping her heal.
Your donation will go directly toward:
