Hi, my name is Charlotte.

I am a second-year Adult Nursing student with a passion for making a difference in healthcare. I have been given the opportunity to volunteer in Moshi, Tanzania, for three weeks in October through The Mighty Roar volunteer organisation.

I will assist in a local hospital, gain hands-on experience, and support the healthcare team in providing care to those in need. Some of my tasks will include taking blood pressure and sugar levels, administering IV injections, dressing wounds and taking temperatures.

I will generally be volunteering from Monday to Friday for approximately 6 hours per day in several government and church run hospitals in the local area.

Tanzania faces critical healthcare challenges, including staff shortages, outdated equipment, and high rates of preventable diseases. I want to learn from local professionals and contribute to improving patient care in a country where resources are limited.

The funds raised will cover the program fee, flights, insurance, vaccinations, and related expenses. Your support will help me gain valuable experience and make a positive impact on healthcare in Tanzania. Any contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated!
