Hello, my name is Charlotte and I am a 43 yr old wife and mother. My husband and I share four of the loveliest children you could ever wish to meet.

This is my story.........
After several misdiagnosis and extensive surgery to remove a very large tumour and 400mm of bowel, I have been given the devastating news that I have Stage 4 cancer.  A Grade 3 Neuroendocrine tumour.

Unfortunately although the tumour was removed, there are fast growing cancerous cells in the lymph nodes too close to the vena cava to remove. Which have now spread to my liver and various other places.

I have been offered chemotherapy to try to shrink the cells that are left. I am classed as 'treatable' (providing my body responds to treatment) but not curable. Unfortunately the two different chemotherapies I have tried thus far have not worked at all, I'm aiming for third time lucky.......

This is a rare cancer and the average life expectancy is just one year. I was given that one year expectancy in September last year so time is now of the essence. As I'm sure many of you can appreciate a year is no good to me, so 6 months certainly won't do either as I have children to raise and a family that need me.

We, as a family have been looking at other treatments available for this type of cancer outside of the UK. We are also researching alternative therapies, both of these options carry rather hefty price tags, so please donate if you can, if you can't perhaps you could share for me?
