Charlotte’s Freedom Farm - Olive, Tato, Kermit…

In the last couple weeks, multiple animals have needed X-rays and been ill, we’ve had 2 hay deliveries costing $4600, and on top of the thousands of dollars we’ve spent, we have estimates for two upcoming surgeries totalling approx $14,000 (this doesn’t include a possible surgery for Kermit which would be thousands more).
Olive, our sweet pup who had her back legs amputated - and a horrible job on her tail amputation before she came - is now set to see a specialist in Mississauga. After multiple surgeries to try and correct her tail, a special device being made for her to wear when not in her wheels, multiple attempts at bandaging, months of being on and off antibiotics - her tail continues to be a nightmare. We have decided with our vet that at this point she needs to see a specialist. Her apt is set for the 27th and the estimate we were given for this visit/ surgery is 8-10k - and will involve a long hospital stay.
Tato, the kitten we took in with the broken back legs also had some concerns with the end of his tail. He started chewing it and is now stuck wearing a cone. His leg amputation surgery is scheduled for December 1 and now involves the end of his tail needing to be amputated as well due to exposed bone. His first visit was $750 and his estimate went from $3300-$3500 to more like $4000+ (we have raised $890 towards Tato so far)
Kermit, the amazing happy little baby goat we took in with the deformed jaw, is unable to open his mouth wide enough to be able to eat enough/ survive long term and has been seen by 2 of our vets who agree that his prognosis isn’t good. We took X-rays last week and sent them to OVC to see if there is anything they can do surgically to save him. He is now scheduled for a CT scan on Tuesday morning - and if they are able to do anything surgically, that will happen Thursday.
Abe, the goat who broke his leg last month had his leg re-x-rayed and it is doing well but he is looking at 2-4 more weeks in his cast, and more X-rays in 2 weeks.
Willow, one of our dogs, got extremely sick this week and was having bloody diarrhea and not eating. She spent a night at the vet on fluids, had X-rays and blood work taken twice. She is home now and doing well. Her bill was $2330
On top of all this, Izzy had his teeth floated, Bernard had his feet x-rayed and Bruce has an ear infection!
