Charlotte Morgan Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Charlotte Morgan left us on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. She was as bright as she was determined, as creative and energetic as she was beloved.
My fondest memories of Morgan involve the homemade doll houses she and her sisters created and decorated; bobbing for apples at an annual Halloween party, my daughter and her soaking wet, freezing, and laughing their heads off. She took care of my own children, my home, and me, more times than I can count.
In the words of her mother, "My daughter Charlotte Morgan was a funny, caring, tough, resourceful, and beautiful person who, in her own words, sometimes got swallowed up by her addictions. But her addictions did not define her. She was much more. Her struggles are now finished. She is free. We are grieving."
To help the family pay for funeral expenses, I am asking for donations on their behalf. No matter how prepared you think you are for these practicalities, it's never easy, and the family should be able to spend time supporting each other, Morgan's amazing sisters and brother, and her three children, and focusing on the task of moving forward during this incredibly difficult time.
Any donations above what is required to pay for expenses will go towards a fund for Morgan's children and the organization Shatterproof , which brings together science and policy makers in hopes of turning the tide of addiction and recovery treatment in our country. Please read about and support them directly if you wish, as they work to make evidence-based services widely available.
Family friend (me) Jennifer Monroe, will be managing details for now, then turning over the fund to the Schuppe family. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through this page and I will help in any way I can.
