The lights have been out and the doors have been closed on stages across the country for 15 months. Here in Charlotte, North Carolina, the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic impacted the closing of many businesses, including the venue formerly supporting the Charlotte Comedy Theater’s weekly sold-out shows. You’ve endured every hardship, and we know you’re in need of some comic relief – so Charlotte Comedy Theater is ready to open once more!  
 
We are excited to announce the reopening at our very own theatre space in Uptown Charlotte, at the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Center! This space allows us to reach larger audiences than ever before—and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been bottling up for 15 months.
 
We need your help to bring our new space to life! Charlotte Comedy Theater (CCT) is raising funds to build a new stage and install lighting. With these enhancements, every seat in the new venue will be prime real estate, ensuring you don’t miss a second of the wild, tender, and uproariously funny performances that have earned CCT multiple “Best of the Best” awards in its illustrious 20-year Charlotte career.
 
We have a veritable army of skilled volunteers with saws and hammers at the ready. Your contributions will support the purchase of lumber and lights to make our stars shine brightly once more.
