Swim for Charlotte and support for Craig & Jess

**Update on Charlotte - 6th Sept 2022**

It’s been just over two years since my last update on Charlotte and her battle with Neuroblastoma.

Sadly, with her condition deteriorating quickly over the last two weeks, on Thursday 1 Sept Charlotte Jayne Alexander passed away surrounded by her family at her home.

My heart is saddened by this news and heavy for her family especially parents Craig and Jess. How blessed Charlotte was to have such loving parents by her side.

I wanted to share this with you all as you have been so amazingly generous with your donations for Charlotte and her family - hoping that you can extend this same generosity and love for Craig and Jess as they prepare to say goodbye to Charlotte.

2020 has been challenging for most, but for Craig and his family this year has been even more challenging with his three year old Charlotte diagnosed with childhood cancer.

Craig joined my team at Legend Corporation close to a year ago and it has been quite heartbreaking for our team and the wider organisation to see someone from our work family go through this hardship. 

I really wanted to look for ways to lighten the load, show support and send some love and whilst I cannot make this awful cancer go away, I can reach out to my network for some financial support.

Swim for Charlotte

Next week I will be participating in the Bondi to Bronte virtual swim (2.2km) which supports a charity called The Kids Cancer Project. 

In addition to this, I will be swimming another 2.2km for Charlotte and hope the funds you donate brings a smile to this little girls face.

Both swims will be completed by Sunday 20th Dec 2020.

“In August three year old Charlotte was diagnosed with high risk Childhood cancer, but it is treatable. Over the last 4 months Charlotte has undergone 5 rounds of Chemotherapy and is currently preparing for surgery to remove the large abdominal tumour.

After surgical excision and recovery she will undergo further Chemotherapy and additional treatments thereafter. 

All money raised for Charlotte will be used to take her on a magical holiday once her treatment has finished.

Charlotte is a determined and very strong willed 3-year-old that keeps her parents, nurses and doctors on their toes. She loves to laugh, play and do arts and crafts. When feeling well she is a happy little girl that loves to spend time with her family and friends (when Covid restrictions permit)."
