Help Build Charlie's Animal Refuge

We're building an animal refuge in Prahova, Romania, named after Charlie, our Christmas miracle mutt. We found Charlie, a half-starved, half-frozen pup, on the street on Christmas day. We took him into the flock and are giving him and his siblings a loving home, quality food, and lots of green space to run around and play in.

Dor came next, a shelter dog who spent his first years on the street. Not longer after bringing Dor home, one of the street dogs we fed followed us home, broke into our yard, and refused to leave. We're taking care of her too, and our flock is now up to 6 dogs and 2 cats.

Dogs in Romania are often mistreated and left chained in yards or abandoned on the street. Many pet owners don't spay or neuter their dogs, opting instead to drown puppies in the river. Street dogs barely get by, and those who are caught usually end up in kill shelters.

There are so many dogs living on the streets who need love and a good home. We're building Charlie's Refuge, and will take care of as many as we can while ensuring they all have space to roam and an excellent quality of life.

We also take weekly trips to our nearest (non-kill) shelter to feed 500 or so shelter dogs some home cooked chicken, in addition to feeding street dogs and cats wherever we find them.
