hi everyone! my name is charlie and i’m a trans guy living in england. outside of being transgender i am also a competitive swimmer, teacher and musician. 

 i socially transitioned when i was twelve years old, and have been waiting to turn eighteen to start the process for top surgery and hormones. living my life in the wrong skin has been incredibly harmful, for both my mental and physical health. i have struggled with binding over the last 6 years, as it puts a lot of pressure on the ribs and chest. i have also been diagnosed with depression and other mental health conditions, which i believe are caused by the fact i am living in the wrong body. gender affirming care will help to ease the physical and mental issues i am having. the cost of HRT and top surgery is incredibly expensive, or wait over 10 years on the NHS waiting list, which i simply cannot do after already waiting for so long.

i have had my initial consultation with the london transgender clinic in august of 2025, where the estimated cost came to £10.4k. i am aiming to fundraise around half of the costs, so around £5.2k. i am also saving up money to be able to afford HRT, which i will be getting through GenderGP. if you have anything to spare to help me out that would be amazing, and thank you to everyone whose already donated. without you i dont know where i’d be! if you cannot afford to donate, sharing on social media to reach people who can would also be greatly appreciated.
