Charlie's Surgery & Recovery

Hello, I have started this page to help out my friend, and the most beautiful soul in my life, Cynthia.

A tragic event occurred this week when her precious fur-baby, Charlie, was viciously attacked by a neighbor's unleashed dog when they attempted to step out their apartment to go for a walk. This incident, unfortunately, was not this particular dog's first offense in harming another animal. Charlie sustained the worse of the damage to his left thorax resulting in multiple complete fractures to his ribs causing a flail chest and a large laceration and contusions to his lung. Cynthia was hard pressed to find a surgeon that was willing to take Charlie on as a patient. He is having surgery to repair the lung laceration, reconstruct his ribs along with possible external fixation to stabilize his chest. Barring no complications, Charlie will have a long road to recovery.

I am asking you for help to decrease Cynthia's financial burden for Charlie's ER, surgery, and hospitalization/rehabilitation costs. Any type of donation will help! We all know the financial struggles of a newly graduated veterinarian! :) Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Charlie already knows what a gentle and loveable soul he is.
