Charlie's Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Elodie and I am here to raise funds for my beautiful 7-year-old (as of the 3rd of June) dog Charlie. On Friday the 19th of May I got home from school (year 12) to find Charlie's hind legs had been completely paralysed. I rushed her to the vet, who then spoke to me about what could have caused this sudden loss of movement and then sent me to the emergency animal hospital. We found out that Charlie had suffered a spinal stroke, something that occurs randomly and sadly tends to affect larger and more active dogs (aka Charlie). Spinal strokes can be very difficult to recover from, and recovery depends upon time, rehab, and the dog themself. She spent a week in the hospital and has been undergoing rehab with some of the best vets in the world to get her on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, this whole unexpected experience has been quite costly, and while insurance does cover some of the cost, it is unfortunately not enough for the continued expenses. So I am here today to ask you if you could donate even the smallest of amounts, any contribution would mean the world to us. The vets tell us that if any dog were to recover from this, it would be our Charlie. She loves to play tug of war, have cuddles, annoy the cat, snore, swim in the ocean, eat all types of things, make friends with anyone and everyone, and collapse on the floor at your feet to get big tummy rubs. Thank you for taking the time to read this somewhat long-winded explanation. Charlie means the absolute world to me, my mum, and everyone that knows her. If you are unable to donate, spreading this link would be greatly appreciated. Charlie thanks you for your efforts :)
