Charlie’s Life-Saving Seizure Treatment Fund!

Hi! This is our sweet & slightly crazy girl, Charlie! She has recently started suffering from seizures for the first time in her life and has had a pretty hard time adjusting at home to her new medication and routine... :(

As much as we are trying to make sure she is safe and on her way back to morning zoomies and wrestling matches with her bio-brother, Dexter, we are struggling to cover the cost of the vet expenses and her medications that will now be ongoing. There’s nothing we wouldn’t do for our fur babies, and we are trying to find the source and ensure we can prevent the seizures from continuing.

I made this fund because we are going to need help now more than ever - We are hoping to reach out for some support from our friends, family & animal loving community! We appreciate every bit of help you’re able to donate <3

UPDATE: We have taken Charlie to get her second round of medicine and we are on track saving up to get her blood work done!

I appreciate everyone who donated and helped us be able to afford care while we focus on our own financial struggles. Charlie is in such good spirits, she hasn’t had a seizure in over a month! Next steps are:

1. Blood work to evaluate the amount of medication required (haven’t been able to afford the blood exam yet)

2. Scan of the brain to figure out if she is epileptic or if it is another issue such as her diet or other various brain disorders.

The vets haven’t been very clear as to what is the best course of action and it is still very precarious to us at the moment. Currently we are funding Keppra for her seizures and saving to move forward with her care!
