Charlie’s kick-boxing world championship fund (WKKC)

Hi, my name is Charlie bird and I’m a 13 year old kick boxer from Whittlesey near Peterborough. I started kick-boxing at BCKA Peterborough about 18 months ago and from my first session I was hooked. I now train between 4 and 8 times a week between Peterborough and Corby with my brilliant instructors and coaches from BCKA. In June last year I entered my first competition and came first in one of my categories, since then I have competed in 6 other competitions winning multiple medals. Most recently I competed in the WKKC English Championships and came second in my light contact category, which qualified me to represent team England and go to the world championships in Portugal between 26 October - 2 November. This is a dream come true for me and a fantastic opportunity to represent my country and make my friends, family and coaches proud.

However the cost of competing at a world level in another country is a lot higher than competing in the UK and I may not be able to compete purely down to the cost of it all.

That’s why I have set up this page, I’m hoping I can raise enough money to allow me to compete, it will be a brilliant opportunity to learn and continue to improve my skills by competing against the some of the best fighters in the world, and possibly become a world champion myself, which would mean so much to me, my family and my club!

Any money donated will be used to pay towards competition entry, flights and the squad kit etc.
