Melissa & Mike’s son, Charlie, is currently in the ICU. Charlie came down with severe stomach flu symptoms. After 4 days of uncontrollable symptoms and no improvement they took him to the emergency department. Charlie already has a compromised immune system, his kidneys couldn’t handle the illness and were shutting down, so they transferred him to Saint Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise. They’ve diagnosed him with Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome caused by a strain of E. Coli. He is currently in the ICU and they’ve started him on Dialysis.

They don’t know how long he’ll be there and the last thing their family needs to stress about is the medical bills coming and cost of traveling between Boise and home to take turns being with Charlie and taking care of their other children.
