Charlie's Health Crisis: Your Help Is Needed
Donation protected
Hello family and friends,
This is Jessica, Charlie Sanchez’s sister-in-law and Julie Sanchez’s sister. This is a medical fundraiser for Charlie and his wife Julie. At this moment, Charlie is at Stanford Hospital waiting to see if he will be a candidate for a liver transplant. Charlie has endured lots of medical stints in the hospital in the last several years. Saturday, April 26, 2025, Charlie was rushed to Clovis Community Hospital due to high levels of ammonia. His liver cannot filter out the ammonia like a healthy liver can. While at Clovis Community Hospital, Charlie was visited by many of his doctors, and they decided to ask Stanford if they would accept him as a patient. We had our prayers answered when Stanford accepted him. He was transported to Stanford via ambulance on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Julie followed him the same day to be by his side along with his mom, Isabel. Stanford is currently working on stabilizing Charlie, as well as running a myriad of tests. We are taking it one day at a time to hopefully be blessed with the ultimate gift of a new liver.
Charlie and Julie are followers of Christ. They don’t only talk the talk; they walk the walk. The amount of people they have helped throughout the years is amazing. Whether it was to offer you prayers and friendship, a delicious homemade meal (BBQ to be exact), or even a place to lay your head, Charlie and Julie have always lent a helping hand. This is just a small example of how amazing they are.
As you can imagine, this has taken an emotional, physical, and financial toll on the Sanchez Family. Charlie has had to stop working at his dream job of being a barber. Everyone knows if you want a good haircut, you go to Charlie. Julie is the only one employed at this time. She will need to travel back and forth from home to Stanford. Travel expenses, everyday bills, and medical bills can add up quickly. That’s where we come in as a faithful and loving community. Whatever you decide to bless Charlie and Julie with, I know they will be beyond grateful. I know so many people who love Charlie and Julie and understand what a blessing it is to have them in their lives.
Lastly, I cannot end this request for blessings without also asking for prayers, ultimately for Charlie’s health. For Jesus to help guide and protect them and to give wisdom to the doctors, nurses, and staff. To provide Julie and all of their family and friends with the strength and belief that God has a plan and to trust in His word. We walk with God and thank Him for His many blessings. Amen.
