Hi everyone,

I wanted to reach out because I’m looking for a bit of support for Charlie’s go-karting. I honestly hate asking for help, but when it comes to him, I want to give him every chance to follow his passion — so I’m swallowing my pride.

Charlie started racing at the end of last year with some indoor sessions, and for his birthday he got a development session — which he absolutely loved. From that, he earned 1 of just 14 seats in the Lightning Cup, a 4-race series and his first real taste of competitive go-karting.

In his first race he finished 14th, kept his head up, and learned loads. Then in his first ever wet race — and first time on a wet track — he improved to 11th. We’ve also done a couple of 1-to-1 coaching sessions to help him progress, and he’s loving every minute.

We’ve already sorted most of the gear he needs — boots, suit, neck brace, and even his own helmet, which Charlie saved up for and we went halves on. We’ve also managed to raise £500 ourselves through offline support before setting up this page.

The main thing left now is raising the entry fee for next year’s race season. We’re looking to raise a minimum of £700 to cover that, with anything extra going towards more 1-to-1 lessons.

I’d love to cover it all myself, but I just don’t have that kind of money spare. Even small contributions would genuinely help — and more than anything, it would mean the world to Charlie to know he’s got people backing him.

To make it extra special, I’m planning a big Christmas card for Charlie with messages from everyone who’s supported him — whether that’s financial help, advice, encouragement, or just cheering him on. This will be a Christmas surprise for Charlie, so anything you leave will mean the world to him. ❤️

I’ll also be setting up a Facebook page to keep everyone updated, where I’ll share videos, lap times, race results, and general progress so you can follow his journey if you want to.
