Charles Angelo Augustine; a husband, a father, a friend to many, and man of God, passed away peacefully April 6, 2021. To us, he was “Dad”. To my mom, he was the love of her life and best friend. Charlie spent most of his life operating machinery for the local 137, spending precious time with close friends and family, attending church & hanging beachside with my mom, and being a father to 2 daughters, and a son whom he left behind. He was a man who continued to beat the odds throughout his life here on earth. His family has been by his side through many trials and tribulations, and continued to hold his hand and stay in faith as he fought his final battle, which lasted 30 days in the hospital. Charlie, who had recently beat the unthinkable; pancreatic cancer, ended up with kidney stones and a bladder infection, which landed him a visit to the ICU, where he soon caught pneumonia, and fought for his life for almost four weeks. Throughout it all, his head was held high, his thoughts were positive, and he was determined to be going home to my mom. Unfortunately, after numerous days in the hospital, and countless fights, Dad grew tired. His body had been through so much in his short life, and he had nothing left to give. His last evening was spent with my mom by his side, smiling, just as he always would be.
As our hearts continue to heal, we ask for prayers over our family. We pray my mom finds peace and comfort during one of the hardest moments in her life. At this time, to ease her burden, we are coming together and asking our community to find it within their hearts to help my mom with expenses that have been piled on since my fathers passing. As we all know, bills pile up, fridges have to be stocked, and laundry continues at the end of each day....we are thankful for any and all donations that help with the finances of funeral services, hospitalization bills, and day to day expenses, left to our family. May God Bless
