Update on Charlies fight:

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share that Charlie’s fight has come to an end, and she is now at peace.

There are simply no words for the loss of such a beautiful, spunky young woman who was so deeply loved. Charlie touched so many lives, through her family, her friends, her teammates, her school, and the entire community that rallied around her.

We are beyond grateful for every prayer, message, donation, share, and act of kindness that has surrounded Charlie and her family. The love shown to them has been overwhelming and means more than we can possibly express.

Now, Charlie’s family needs our support more than ever.

As they face an unimaginable loss, we want to give them the space and time they need to grieve without also having to carry the financial burdens that come with it. We are asking our community to continue surrounding this family with love, prayers, and support in the difficult days and weeks ahead.

Charlie is a high school student, a softball player, and the kind of girl whose fun, spunky personality makes her unforgettable. She brings energy and laughter to the people around her, loves being part of her team, and has so much life ahead of her. Anyone who knows Charlie knows the strength and spirit she carries and right now, we are all asking her to dig deep and keep fighting.

Charlie was critically injured in a car accident Friday night, and right now, she is fighting with everything she has.

She is surrounded by people who love her deeply family and friends sitting beside her, praying for her, believing in her, and holding onto hope every step of the way.

For those of us who know and love this family, it is heartbreaking to watch people we care about face something no parent or family should ever have to endure. Right now, their entire world has stopped. Their focus needs to be on one thing and one thing only: Charlie.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden on Charlie’s family during this incredibly difficult and uncertain time. Donations will help with the expenses that come with putting everyday life on hold, time away from work, travel, meals, lodging, medical-related costs, and the many unexpected expenses that can arise while staying by the side of a critically injured child.

No family should have to worry about bills or work when all they want to do is sit beside their daughter and hold her hand.
