Hi, my name is Kellie and I am raising funds to pay for vet care. I'm the sole earner in my household. The kids and I went away this weekend, leaving the animals in good hands, and returned home late Sunday night. We found one of our guinea pigs, Charlie, with a red and bulging eyeball. We rushed him to an emergency vet who has just informed us that the poor little guy will need the eyeball surgically removed. They can't do it there, but have recommended a vet we will call later today (I am writing this at 2am from the emergency vet). I was already going to have trouble paying rent for April, but this unexpected cost will leave is with nothing. I am not yet sure the exact amount we will need to take care of Chuck. Anything helps. Update: called around and finally found a vet that 1. will see a guinea pig, 2. operates on them and 3. has time in the next few days so our little guy doesn't have to suffer for much longer. They are preparing an estimate for surgery which I will share here. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has donated here and by other means, it means so much to be able to get this guy the care he deserves without delay.
