On March 22nd, Charlie got some news no one wants to hear—he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Thankfully, just six days later, he had a successful operation, and since then, he’s been focusing on recovery. Starting next Monday, he’ll begin three rounds of BEP chemotherapy to tackle the remaining cancer cells that have spread. He’s stayed positive, kept his sense of humour intact, and somehow still insists that Arsenal is definitely winning the league next year.
This whole experience has given Charlie a new outlook on life. Even with the ups and downs, Charlie is hopeful and full of fight. His strength has been nothing short of inspiring, and as his friends and family, we’re proud to be right by his side.
Instead of gifts, Charlie is asking for something more meaningful: a donation to Orchid, a fantastic charity that supports research and awareness for male cancers, including testicular, prostate, and penile cancer. Orchid has been there for Charlie with helpful resources and counselling, and they do incredible work for so many others, too.
Charlie will donate 75% of all contributions to Orchid, and use the remaining 25% for a well-deserved break after treatment to help aid his recovery post-chemo.
