Charlie Waite's Parting Gift to this World

As most of you probably know by now our beloved Dad, Husband, Papa and Friend Charlie Waite sadly passed away peacefully and with dignity on Wednesday 10th February 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.  His devoted wife Margaret cared for him at home right up until the end with the help of family and carers, special mention to Michael the morning carer,  Fay the evening carer and Alice a wonderful friend and carer.

Charlie suffered for 24 years with the cruel Parkinson's disease and then about 7 years ago was also struck down with another cruel disease, Dementia.  He didn't let this effect his love of life and spirit as you can see above in the pictures which were taken at one of the charities which we wish to donate some of these funds raised to, which is the Young at Heart Cafe in St John's Parish Luton.  These wonderful volunteers do so much to bring joy and happiness to the people with Dementia and their family's in joining in with a good old sing song, cup of tea cake and a chat.

With Dementia it's like losing a person twice, once when they get the illness and secondly when they sadly pass away.  Fortunately for us Dad still knew us all till the very end and still had a wind up or a joke to tell us.  He was always known as cheeky Charlie with all of his antics that he would get up to, some I couldn't possibly mention on here lol!   He was also the very first to the bar and the very last to leave and would give his last penny to anyone.

We as a family are heart broken right now and we have thought that instead of kind generous people sending flowers, we would be so pleased if you wish to donate to this page for the following three charities.

These above three charities some times get over looked and we would love in Charlie's memory if we could make a small difference to other people's lives with these cruel diseases.

So as Charlie would say, "Stop being a tight arse and put your hand in your pocket and make a difference"!
