Donations for Charlie Sweet and Family

My name is Sara Oakes, and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of Sarah Dolmage and Tony Sweet. Many may already know, but on Sunday, September 25th, Sarah and Tony's son Charlie was flown from Rogue Regional Medical Center, in Medford, to OHSU, in Portland, and underwent emergency brain and sinus surgery. After a couple of trips to the doctor's office and ER, for a headache, a CT scan revealed that Charlie had a tumor in his sinuses that was pushing into the frontal area of his brain. He was immediately flown from Medford to Portland on Sunday, and into surgery on Monday morning. After spending over 13 hours in surgery, the mass was removed. They also flushed large pockets of infection from around his brain, and reconstructed his sinuses. They are still waiting for results as to whether the mass is benign, as well as, where the infection could've possibly come from. Charlie has pulled through one of the most difficult surgeries any of us could imagine, but has a very long road to recovery and healing.

This fund has been set up for all who are wishing to donate or offer any support they desire. If you know Sarah and family you know how kind, caring and loving they are. This is only a small opportunity to give back. The funds will go directly to Sarah and Tony as they are off work, staying in Portland, and helping Charlie through this extremely difficult time. Money will go towards travel expenses, food, lost wages, as well as the many follow up trips back to Portland, that they likely face. At this time, Charlie is expected to be in Portland for 2-3 weeks, depending, but it's still very early and unclear.
