I met Charlie when she was just two hours old and shes now coming up to 10. This dog owes me nothing I love her more than words can ever describe.
On the 21st April 2023 Charlie had sickness & diarrhoea. I phoned the vet and we booked an appointment for her to be seen in the morning, not 10 minutes later Blood was projecting out of her bum and we rushed her to the vets. She was put on fluids but her blood pressure was so low at 55, should be 120, and her breathing was fast and heart rate high. They did a chest X-ray and a heart scan and an ultrasound. They have also given her anti sickness meds as she kept being sick. They have diagnosed her with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis with the added complication of hypovolemic shock and sepsis.
The insurance I have won’t cover her total bill and I need to raise what I can to pay it. I’ve just spoken to the Vet and he wants to keep her there obviously as she’s so poorly but the cost of this is £1000 per day. My insurance cover has reached its limit already with the treatment she has had.
Please help me get Charlie better even if it’s just £1 everything will help right now.
The vet is feeling a little more optimistic about her outcome but she’s not out of the woods yet and still remains critical.
Thank you for reading this and any help is very much appreciated.
If the bill is less than £3500 I will stop the fundraiser.
UPDATE ON CHARLIE
When I arrived at the vets Charlie didn’t even lift her head, I was having the awful conversation with the vet about how long she had and if it was the best option to let her go. Whilst having this conversation I was giving her tons of reiki and so much love and I said to her do you want a treat, she suddenly sat up was more alert and the vets grabbed a load of chicken for me to try and give her. SHE ATE LOADS!! This is amazing she’s not eaten anything since Wednesday morning! I got her to drink water and I even took her out for a wee! Charlie wants to fight this nasty infection and she needs all the love and support she can get right now. I’ve left my jumper with her and told her she has to bring it home. I will be going back later to see her. The vets are absolutely gobsmaked at the difference in her whilst I was there. I love this girl so so much and she can’t leave this world this way. I really appreciate everyone’s donations and if you can pay just £5 towards her care I would be so so grateful. She not just a dog she’s part of a family and we need to give her the care she deserves. Please do share my link and help me raise what is needed. I had to pay another £500 to the vets today and will have to do the same if not more tomorrow. People often donate to people they don’t even know so if you know me please please do help I wouldn’t ask if I wasn’t desperate.
