Charlie needs help to pay for his surgery!!!

Hi, my name is Jen and I’m raising money to pay for my dog Charlie’s surgery and chemotherapy.

I had wanted a dog since I was 10 years old, and knew when that day would come, his name would be Charlie. 20 years later, I met the dog of my dreams. He truly is my soulmate, in the form of a 4-legged creature.

He came to sleep-away camp with me for 6 summers, where he was off-leash for 2 months, outside, surrounded by nature and children. For the last 3 years, he has been coming to school with me and surrounded by teens, daily. To say Charlie was meant to be surrounded by people, is an understatement. His calm temperament makes him extremely approachable- he doesn’t have a singular mean bone in his body.

Last night, he suddenly collapsed as we were heading out. I rushed him to the vet, and after some tests, we were then sent for further tests at the DMV. Sadly, after leaving him there overnight to be monitored and await further testing, the vet called to say she saw a mass on his spleen.

Charlie’s only chance to survive 3-6 months, with a decent quality of life is if the surgery ($12000) to remove his spleen goes well AND he has chemotherapy ($1000/treatment x 5+). I already paid the $4000 for his preliminary tests and another $4000 deposit for the surgery. Just not sure how I’ll manage the rest.

Im not ready to lose him.

I lost my dad 9 months ago. I can’t lose Charlie so soon afterwards.

Please help me.

For anyone who has ever met Charlie, Im sure you know just how special he is, and the bond I have with him.
