Big Goal, Little Steps - Let's Get Charlie Walking

Charlie was born very early, at 27 weeks.  A few days after his birth, as a result of his prematurity, we were told he had suffered a number of brain injuries.  When Charlie was 2 he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, affecting the left side of his body and both legs.  He struggles to use his left arm and hand and is unable to stand independently or walk.

Charlie has just turned 3 and we are so proud of our boy.   He is the most determined little thing and is a very happy boy who constantly surprises us.   He loves to sing, chat and play with his cars, he also craves movement.  Six months ago Charlie started using a walking frame and this is the thing he loves to do most.  We would love to see Charlie stand independently and one day hopefully walk.

Therapy is crucial for Charlie's development and we are very aware that early intervention is essential.  We have been recommended to a centre in the US for a 3-week intensive therapy programme at NAPA (Neurological and Physical Abilitation programme).  NAPA is a world renowned centre to improve motor skills in children and help children reach their potential.

If you are able to help us to get Charlie to NAPA by making a donation and sharing Charlie's story we would be so very grateful.
