Charlie Murphy’s Burn Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On the evening of October 28th, 2018....Charlie was doing what he does best, hosting a great dinner party followed by one of his infamous bonfires. He is all about being the host with the most and showing everyone a great time. Charlie always puts others ahead of himself.
After cooking all day and entertaining his friends, Charlie went outside to light the bonfire that he had planned for the evening. He has done this hundreds of times but on this night, things when horribly wrong. After lighting a small section of the bonfire,
he went around to the other side of this large bonfire and started using fuel to accelerate the process. Unbeknownst to him and those watching, the fumes from the fuel ignited, exploding into a ball of flames, throwing Charlie several feet, rattling every glass in his house and those neighboring his home.
Charlie was immediately taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield MO, and admitted to the burn unit where he is now being treated for burns to his face, neck, both arms and other areas of his body.
We are asking for your generosity to help Charlie and his wife Abbi during this very hard time in their lives. Charlie will lose his income while being treated for his burns and is expecting a 3-6 month recovery time. He will also have medical bills from this tragic event. Anyone who knows Charlie knows he takes care of his own, I’m asking for those close to him or touched by this story to help take care of Charlie during this difficult time.
Any questions please email at [email redacted] or call/text me at [phone redacted].
Thank you all for listening. Charlie and Abbi greatly appreciate any help.
